What is the name of a flowering tree that has balls of small white flowers hanging from the branches?
I saw the tree in Homewood, IL it was not a very large tree at the time so I am not sure if it gets larger or stays around 6 or 7 feet. The trunk was very skinny as well. The flowers that formed the ball were white and very small and they hung from a green stem, the tree was gorgeous and just wanted to find out its name! Thanks- sorry so vague!

I would say snowball or cannonball but those are shrubs...not trees....I HATE THEM...they are pretty when they are out...but man what a mess when they start to die off...and they STINK too...just like Peony's do.
