What is strange or bizarre inspiration you've ever had?
And how did you include in your writing? I remember in the Lower Manhattan, a former office building had stone gargoyle sitting on them. All other buildings were large, with lots of glass in the blues, blacks, bright, very modern with antennas and dishes, all but the stone castle looking thing. It is in the first chapter of my first novel.
Two days ago, we took a drive through the mountains in Virginia. We stopped at this rest stop off the highway. I jumped from the car and said I had to go to the bathroom. While walking towards the building, I happened to look down at my shoes. I swear, a figure jumped into my mind and said, "I have shoes like that. Do you want to write a story about me?" I went home and I wrote 2600 words in a day. Looks like a promising introduction to a novel.
