What pattern beats the carnival game: cover the spot?
Basically I'm trying to stick it to the carnies. They have a game where there is a red spot and they give you five metal discs to lay over the spot in the right pattern covering up all the red.
I've done a little research and found that the spot is about 12cm, and the 5 discs are each 7cm. There is a pattern that he uses, but I cannot figure it out. The sizes may not be accurate, maybe you know the exact numbers.
The carney does it every time.
What does make this different from the normal "scam" is that you are not forced to drop them from height of more than a couple of inches.
What makes you think that it is possible?
It is possible that the carny "does it every time" because he is cheating. All he would have to do is replace a single disk (kept in his hand) with one that is slightly larger, lay it down first and then cover that up with the other 4 legitimate disks and it would be very easy to convince you that it can be done.
