Has anyone ever had an outlet plate on the heat in the microwave?
I put a safe microwave plate (Corelle brand) microwave with a piece of chocolate on it for about 1 minute. Within 30 seconds of actual plate (not chocolate) caught fire and burned a hole in the plate. The plate was melted and fused to the glass plate microwave. The entire glass plate and microwave it was so hot could not be processed. My microwave is making a surge protector is no higher power has taken place. How does a microwave drill a hole through a plate?
OH My Goodness! What happened there?!? Maybe like chocolate affected somehow causeing the plate or as a chemical reaction the plate was just bad. Have you called the company? CALL THE COMPANY! They must pay for your microwave, because the plate was certainly not in the microwave. The only thing close to what my sister was a piece of chocolate wrapped in foil in the microwave. Let's just say it was not the smartest thing she could do ...
