How to serve some bar drinks?
I have recently started behind the bar in a hotel and find some of the drinks a little confusing and daunting and wondered if you could help me out.
Firstly, do i use a single or double measure for a malt whiskey and how is this served?
Similarly with a brandy?
Also how is a martini served?
And finally, do you have to measure how much sherry you put in a glass?

Shots are not proper for these drinks, and each has its own glass.
- All Whiskeys in a rocks glass. I use my fingers on the side of the glass. The width of one finger is a single, two fingers is a double. If someone orders a whiskey neat he will use his fingers to make sure you poured him enough. I like mine with a side of water in a little pitcher or glass so I can measure out the right about of water to put in.
- All brandies in a brandy glass. A perfect pour will go all the way to the rim when you tip the glass on its side.
- Sherry goes in a sherry class, and I think it is about 100 ml, or 2 oz.
