How do you get rid of stubborn baked on stains on an enamel stove top?
I have tried just about everything to get these stubborn stains from my stove top and so far nothing has worked. Since it's an enamel top stove, I can't use anything abrasive. Any suggestions?
Make a paste of baking soda and warm, not hot water, OR baking soda and automatic dishwasher detergent. (You might need to add a little water to this last one.) Make a thick paste and apply it to the stains on the stove top. Let sit for 30 minutes to an hour. Then start wiping with a damp rag. You may have to scrub gently with the baking soda and rag, but it should start coming off. Make sure you rinse well. This always worked for me, it's time consuming but it cleans so well. You can try using a Mr Clean Magic Eraser for any little bits that are left. I have an enamel stove top too, and this doesn't scratch it. Hope this helps. Good luck!
